Tiny newborn feet wrapped in a warm blanket

Milestone films / Fresh 48 films

The first 48 hours go by in a blur. Keep them.

A short, unhurried session at the hospital or at home in your baby's first day or two, filmed quietly and delivered as a keepsake film.

In plain words

A fresh 48 film is a one to two hour session during your baby's first days: the tiny sounds, the wrinkled feet, the first visitors, the way the room feels.

Unlike a birth film, there is no on-call window: we simply schedule around your delivery and come to you, at the hospital or at home. It is the gentlest introduction to being filmed as a family, and the film is usually short, quiet and devastating in the best way.

The investment

A small session, priced like one.

Milestone films are quoted personally, because a home birth with an on-call window is a different commitment than an anniversary film. Fresh 48 sessions are the most accessible milestone film we offer. When you reach out, Kyle will walk you through the options and put exact numbers in writing before you commit to anything. Payment plans are available, and film sessions can be gifted or added to a registry.

One promise on every quote: no surprise fees, and the full-quality film is always included.

Good questions

Questions we hear a lot.

What is a fresh 48 session?

It is a short documentary session in your baby's first 24 to 48 hours, named for that window. Where newborn sessions are styled and posed, fresh 48 is real: the hospital room, the yawns, the first visitors.

Do hospitals allow fresh 48 filming?

Generally yes. Filming after delivery in your own room is welcomed at most Indianapolis area hospitals, and we confirm specifics beforehand so you never have to think about it.

How long is the finished film?

Typically a few minutes: short enough to rewatch constantly, long enough to hold the day. The full-quality file is yours to keep.

What if the timing changes?

Babies set the schedule and everyone knows it. We hold the plan loosely and confirm the session after your little one actually arrives.
