Milestone films / Birth films
On call for your due window. A quiet presence in the room. A film that keeps the sounds, the first cry and the first hello, forever.
In plain words
A birth film is a professionally filmed, gently edited record of the day your child arrives: the waiting, the work, the first cry, the moment everything changes.
Indianapolis has birth photographers, and we love what they do with stills. A birth film adds what photos cannot hold: the sound of the first cry, the shake in a new dad's laugh, the exact way you looked at each other. Filmed at home, in a birth center or at the hospital, with your birth plan and your care team leading and the camera following.

How on call works

Booking a birth film holds your window on our calendar, and we cap how many due dates we take so yours is protected.

In the weeks around your due date we keep the phone on and the bags packed, day or night.

Before the day we meet, walk through your birth plan and agree exactly what is filmed and what is not.

A short piece arrives within days, with the full film following on a promised schedule.
How we care for it

The investment
Milestone films are quoted personally, because a home birth with an on-call window is a different commitment than an anniversary film. Birth films carry an on-call commitment, which is reflected in how they are quoted. When you reach out, Kyle will walk you through the options and put exact numbers in writing before you commit to anything. Payment plans are available, and film sessions can be gifted or added to a registry.
One promise on every quote: no surprise fees, and the full-quality film is always included.

Good questions
Usually yes, and policies differ by hospital and by moment: some limit filming during delivery itself but welcome it before and after. We know the local landscape and coordinate with your care team in advance. See our guide to Indianapolis hospital filming policies for specifics.
That is what on call means. Births do not keep business hours and neither do we. Your window is reserved, our phone stays on and we come when it starts.
Yes. Home and birth center births usually offer the most freedom to film, and we work alongside midwives and doulas with a light footprint.
Whatever you choose. Films can be intimate or completely modest. Most families are surprised at how discreet a birth film can be: hands, faces, sounds and light carry the story. You approve the boundaries before, and the film after.
Because of the on-call window, birth films are our most involved milestone offering, and they are quoted personally after a conversation. Kyle will give you exact numbers in writing, and payment plans and registry gifting are available.
Photos and film do different jobs, and many families book both. We are happy to work alongside a birth photographer, and stills can be pulled from our footage as a bonus, not a replacement.
